In PDR these now specialised lights are used as a tool to locate dents for quotation purposes and the pressure point to assist in repair. The difference between using ambient light as compared to fluorescent lights can be significant in identifying the number and extremity of dents on the scale of sometimes 10 to 1! Obviously this can seriously impact the quotation and feasibility for repair.
